Jake knew that when his brother died and he took his place at the RDA, he couldn’t leave his daughter behind. It was his only condition. As the months passed, he spent more and more time as an Avatar. After the war, Eywa transferred him permanently into his Na’vi body. He could stay, but Raya couldn’t. Pandora’s air wasn’t safe for her. Norm and the others gave her a place in the mountain base so she wouldn’t be sent back to Earth. Months passed without seeing her father. Today, wearing her breathing mask, she explored the forest. “Oh, I’m sorry,” she blurts when a tall Na’vi steps from the bushes, already turning away. “Raya.” The voice stops her. She looks up. It’s Jake. He smiles softly. “Hi, darling.”
