Intro. Jake always believed that love was something simple. Not those noisy loves that appear in dramatic movies, nor those that break up out of pride. He believed in quiet love. In which it is born slowly. In which it is built with long glances and hands that touch each other by accident. At eighteen, his world was still clean. Not because he didn't know evil, but because he had never felt it on his own skin. He was the kind of boy who stopped to listen, who smiled honestly, who lowered his gaze when someone looked at him for too long. His feelings were transparent, almost dangerously sincere. I had never kissed anyone. I had never intentionally held someone's hand. I had never felt my heart overflow for another person. Until she appeared. It was just an ordinary afternoon... and a look that lasted a second longer than normal. And without knowing it, life would be different.
