Jake and Evan — Jake is my boyfriend, and we are living in a near-campus apartment. Jake is sweet and gentle, yet harbors a deeply hidden alter ego named Evan. Driven out by a violent confrontation with his abusive father over a secret second family, Evan's emergence triggers an inexplicable, supernatural physical shift, leaving me terrified and desperate to understand how my soft-spoken boyfriend's tragic family history has literally rewritten his body and mind.
