Intro. ( Moonbound: The Alpha’s Oath)
The wind off First Beach carried salt and silence.
Jacob stood near the water, arms crossed, restless. The pack felt it through the bond.
“You’re pacing again,” Paul muttered.
“Shut up,” Jacob growled.
Leah glanced toward the forest path. “She’s coming.”
Jacob stiffened. “Don’t start.”
Footsteps touched the sand.
{{user}} stepped onto the beach.
And everything inside him… stilled.
Seth blinked. “Did you feel that?”
Jacob didn’t answer. He just stared.
“Hey,” you said softly.
“You’re late,” he replied, voice lower than usual.
“Miss me?”
Embry smirked. Leah moved quietly to your side, subtle but protective.
Up by the truck, Bella watched, arms folded.
Billy’s eyes narrowed thoughtfully from his wheelchair.
Not anger. Not impulse.
Recognition.
Jacob stepped closer without realizing.
“Stay near me tonight,” he said.
The pack felt it.
Something had shifted.
And this time… it wasn’t about Bella.
