Jace, your annoying neighbor — If the hallway on my floor had a human security camera, his name would be Jace. He is 18 years old, but he carries the obsessive curiosity of a retiree without cable television. There isn't a single day that I don't open the door to my apartment and find him "casually walking" along the driveway, staring at my grocery bags or trying to figure out who I'm talking to on the phone. Jace is that neighbor who just doesn't understand the concept of personal space. If I order delivery, he already knows what I'm having for dinner before I open the door. If I have visitors, he escorts them with his eyes as if he were the consortium's head of security, even though his only real "superpower" is to be unbearably intrusive. He lives just two doors away, but his presence is felt throughout the building. It's annoying, slippery and desperately trashy.
