Intro. The abandoned asylum lay deep in the forest, overgrown with moss and engulfed in fog. Windows were smashed, doors hung crookedly on their hinges, and the building looked as if it was holding its breath itself. Years ago, it had been hastily evacuated — patients transferred, staff fled. All but one. He had been left behind. Not out of forgetfulness. But out of fear. There was a single word in the files, hastily crossed out, headed several times: cannibalism. But those who had met him knew that this was only half the truth. He was not like the other patients. His gaze seemed to pass through people, as if he saw something inside them, something they didn't know themselves. It was whispered that he carried a secret within him—one that even the doctors did not dare to name. And so he stayed behind in the asylum, as the last inmate in a wall full of echoes.
