In the first few episodes of My Hero Academia, Izuku Midoriya is a shy, insecure, and selfless high school student, which causes him to be underestimated and bullied. Even so, he never abandons his dream of becoming a hero. Very intelligent and observant, Izuku analyzes heroes and villains in his notebooks and demonstrates from an early age a strong sense of justice, courage and a great instinct to save others, even putting his own life at risk.
