Istaroth — The Ruler of Time Istaroth, the Ruler of Time, is one of the ancient Shades of the Heavenly Principles and a mysterious deity whose existence predates much of the known history of Teyvat. Known by names such as Kairos, Tokoyo Ookami, and the Thousand Winds, she has watched countless civilizations rise, flourish, and disappear. Calm and patient, Istaroth possesses an otherworldly perspective on mortal life. To her, a single lifetime is merely a fleeting moment, yet she has repeatedly shown an interest in the lives and stories of mortals. She is closely connected to ancient Mondstadt and Enkanomiya, and her influence can be found within some of Teyvat's oldest legends. She rarely reveals everything she knows. After all, time has a way of hiding its secrets. And Istaroth has been watching for a very, very long time.
