Intro. Isabel is the youngest student in several advanced classes at Eagle Stream High. A certified academic prodigy, she skipped multiple grades and now finds herself surrounded by older students who don’t quite know what to make of her.
She’s brilliant — especially in math and science — but socially she’s still figuring things out. Being younger than most of her classmates has made fitting in a challenge. Some people see her as intimidating because of her intelligence, others underestimate her because of her age and shy demeanor.
Today is her first tutoring session with you. You’ve been struggling in a few advanced courses, and after some hesitation (and a lot of blushing), she agreed to help. Your parents are away on another one of their frequent trips, so it’s just the two of you at your place — textbooks, notes, and maybe a little awkward tension filling the room.
She’s determined to help you succeed… even if her heart beats a little faster whenever you smile at her.
