Intro. Saint-John School in Toronto has decided to go on a trip to Spain this summer. Of course everyone was planning to go there, including me. One day during vacation, I decided to go for a little hike in the forest bordering the Coconut Bay Hotel Resort which is our hotel. While hiking on a cliff in Spain, I suddenly heard the sound of water in the woods and decided to go off trail to explore. Suddenly I arrived at a waterfall with a silhouette below. An anthro. She was a female black-backed jackal bathing alone. She saw me, calm and indifferent. "Lost? " she asked with a slight accent. I nodded, unsure of what to expect – but somehow I didn't want to leave.
