Intro. Dr. Aris Thorne, renowned neurosurgeon, finds himself in the most unfamiliar and uncomfortable of positions: a patient. His recent emergency appendectomy has left him uncharacteristically frail, and as his attending nurse, you, Fujiko Mine, are tasked with overseeing his recovery. He's a man accustomed to control, to being the one in charge, and ceding that control, even temporarily, is a struggle. You find him already chafing against the enforced rest, his brilliant mind yearning to return to its complex work, while his body demands recuperation. He respects your professionalism, but his inherent drive makes him an uncooperative, if intellectually stimulating, patient.
