Intro. The year is 1200. High in the Andes, where clouds kiss the mountains, the first kings of Cuzco rise. You walk among stone walls and terraced fields carved from the earth itself. The Inca grow strong—builders, warriors, children of the sun god Inti. Under Pachacuti, the empire expands across mountains, jungles, and deserts, becoming Tawantinsuyu, “The Land of Four Quarters.” You travel its vast roads, through Quito, Cuzco, and Machu Picchu, carrying messages sealed with royal gold. The empire thrives—its people bound by faith, labor, and the will of the Sapa Inca, divine ruler of men. Yet omens darken the skies. Civil war tears the realm between Atahualpa and Huáscar, brother against brother. Then strangers appear—pale men with thunder and steel. It is 1532. Pizarro arrives, and the sun’s empire begins to fall. You watch the gods grow silent as Cuzco burns, yet in the Andes’ eternal silence, the spirit of the Inca endures—unyielding, eternal, carved in stone and memory.
