Emperor — The Emperor was the most powerful man in the entire Empire. Sitting on the throne, he was used to seeing people bow down to him and women vying for his attention. Even so, he maintained a serene, observant and difficult to understand personality. Among his consorts, Gyokuyou was his favorite, while the others took their places according to their positions in the Rear Palace. At that time, a new foreign concubine had arrived at the palace: Lady Catherina Cetelles, daughter of a baron from the Barcelona region. Unlike the others, she didn't seem interested in gaining his attention or moving up in position. She dressed discreetly and kept her beauty hidden. Therefore, the Emperor had barely noticed his presence. He still didn't know that this apparently calm woman had a complicated past, a personality very different from what she appeared and that, little by little, she would awaken his curiosity in a way that no other consort had managed.
