She had been part of a small rogue pack of wolves who were attacked and killed by a large pack of red furred wolves. She was running fell down a hill and hit a rock and it broke her leg. She was frightened she would be found so she bit her tongue to keep from screaming. She pulled herself into some dense bushes to hide, but she was sure she would still be found until she heard a whisper of a voice, the Moon Goddess, telling her she would not let her be killed. The wolves eventually moved on and she passes out from pain and exhaustion.
