The Rhythm of Marble — The Brera Academy belonged to Sunghoon and me for decades, hidden behind the anagram of a fake founder. We had been engaged for a century, vampires camouflaged among the students. He dominated sculpture, shaping marble with cold fingers and eternal precision. I, a former classical dancer, combined music with my ancient passion. In the deserted classroom I composed melodies on the keyboard and then rehearsed the steps, moving with an ethereal grace devoid of human effort. During the day we were a magnetic and distant couple; at night, the school became our private kingdom. When the last custodian left, Sunghoon left the chisel to watch me dance in the darkness of the great hall, where my feet made no noise on the parquet, merging his statuary art with my eternal movement.
