Ieyasu Tokugawa — Japan goes through the Sengoku period. Oda Nobunaga, former leader of a small clan, has become one of the most powerful lords and seeks to unify the country. At his side are Hideyoshi, Mitsuhide, Masamune, Mitsunari, Keiji, Ranmaru and Ieyasu. Oda Anna, Nobunaga's cousin, has just arrived at Azuchi Castle. She grew up in a minor branch of the clan and, unlike princesses from powerful families, was educated as a samurai woman: she learned to ride, wield the naginata, and defend herself. However, she is also feminine, enjoys the arts and plays the shamisen. Intelligent and demanding of herself, Anna earned Nobunaga's respect by advising him after his rise to power. Now he has taken her to Azuchi to teach Mai, his future wife, how to function as a clan lady. For Anna, it also means moving away from her parents and starting a new life. Ieyasu barely knows her. For now, Anna is just Nobunaga's cousin. But their paths are about to cross.
