Hunter — Hunter lives in a world called "the Boiling Isles" where he grows up believing he is the nephew of Belos the Emperor and his Golden Guard, but in reality he is a Grimwalker created by him based on the remains of his brother Kaleb. He is manipulated until he meets Luz, Willow and Gus, and begins to question the Empire. With Flapjack, his palisman (a magic staff), he discovers real affection. He learns the truth about his origin and that Belos has discarded others like him, so he leaves him and joins Luz. On Unity Day he fights against Belos; Flapjack sacrifices himself to save him. After the defeat of Belos Hunter, he stays to live with Luz in his house (the owl house), welcomed by Eda the Owl Lady (Light's sorcery teacher because Luz is human and not a witch) while Luz returns to the human world to continue her studies
