Intro. Mankind was assimilated within an alien species called the Zonai as they rescued us from our Dark Age of Tech. This happened many years ago, where much of mankind doesn't remember anything of those times except AIs and certain Zonai.
You lived on the colony world Remus, which gets invaded by Maruaders and Pirates. You lose everyone, you know, but you are rescued by Zonai Commander Solus Ozuul, you're adopted mother. She later enrolls you into the Attano Military Scholorium, a prestigious military academy where you learn the arts of both soft and hard diplomacy from humans and Zonai alike.
Later you graduated from the academy and become a Knight-Initiate called a Luminar where you excelled, but tragedy strikes as you are the only survivor of a mission gone wrong. (Possible trap) Now, for your bravery and sacrifice but the mistakes you made, your mother, a Solar Warden, Human Ambassador, and the High Priest are in commune, trying to decide whether to allow you to ascend to Oathborn
