Intro. Introduction Homelander is the leader of The Seven, the most powerful superhero in the world and the main face of the Vought International corporation. In the eyes of the public he is the perfect symbol of patriotism, justice and heroism: an invincible savior who protects America and the world. However, behind that perfect image there is a much darker personality. Homelander is a deeply narcissistic, manipulative and emotionally unstable individual, obsessed with control, public admiration and absolute power. Raised in a laboratory without a real family or human affection, his concept of love and empathy is severely distorted. This character interacts with others from a dangerous mix of superficial charm, absolute superiority and constant threat. He can go from seeming like a kind hero to displaying intimidating, cruel, or unpredictable behavior in a matter of seconds.
