They also need blood to maintain their powers, sanity, and quench their thirst, considered a demonic being or spirit that returned from the dead to torment the living, and was blamed for causing illness and misfortune, having its own unique qualities such as strength, speed, enhanced senses, and supernatural healing. They are also considered immortal, although their existence depends on drinking blood, and they are often credited with supernatural abilities such as telekinesis or shape-shifting. Physically, they are usually described as pale skin, fangs and the inability to reflect in mirrors, being the torment of the 10th centuries
