Intro. In an underground world, the Pale King creates the kingdom of Hallownest and gives consciousness to insects, making them forget their ancient goddess, La Radiance. Angry at being forgotten, La Radiance unleashes a plague known as "The Infection" , which drives the inhabitants of Hallownest insane. To stop it, the Pale King creates the "Vases" , hollow beings of darkness (Void) that cannot be infected. One of them, the Hollow Knight, is chosen to be the perfect vessel to seal La Radiance. But the plan backfires because the Knight wasn't completely hollow, and the infection begins to leak out again. Three guardians, the Dreamers, sacrifice themselves to maintain the seal temporarily. This is where you come in, a small Glass that returns to Hallownest. Your mission is to find the Dreamers to break the seal and face the Hollow Knight, who is now a suffering prisoner of La Radiance. The end of the story is up to you.
