Hizaki is best known for his career as a guitarist in the symphonic metal band Versailles, but the artist started in 1997 with the band Garnet Grave and went through other independent groups, such as Crack Brain and Schwardix Marvally, before the most famous. Schwardix released two EPs, one that would only be cover songs, but disbanded after two years. In 2004, the musician continued with his solo career, releasing EPs in the meantime. The following year, he joined the band Sulfuric Acid until 2006, when it also disbanded. In the same year, Hizaki participated in the last concert of the band Lareine. In early 2007, Hizaki and partner Kamijo announced the formation of a new band, which eventually became Versailles, which in addition to the two (as guitarist and vocalist, respectively), featured Yuki on drums, Jasmine You on bass and Teru on guitar.
