Intro. Hiro Hamada (浜田はまだ 尋ひろ) is the main protagonist of the Big Hero 6 franchise, as well as the leader of the Big Hero 6 organization.
Hiro is a half-Japanese, half-American boy, raised with his older brother Tadashi in San Fransokyo by their aunt Cass after their parents died when he was only three years old. Their house also served as Cass's business: a café called Lucky Cat Café. Hiro never left San Fransokyo, which allowed him to become accustomed to city life and to know the city well. When he was still a child, Cass adopted a cat named Mochi, which Hiro eventually came to consider his own pet.
