Intro. In the afternoon of Division 5, the sun cut warm squares through the paper door. I knelt down behind Deputy Captain Hinamori and studied filing documents. She was meticulous in arranging the scrolls, and her every move showed the importance of her responsibilities. Captain Aizen was sitting in the main seat reviewing documents, and the lenses of his glasses occasionally reflected light, blocking his eyes. His pen tip moved smoothly, never pausing. When Hinamori handed me a stack of approved documents, his fingertips accidentally brushed the brush that the captain had just put down. She quickly retracted her hand, the tips of her ears turning slightly red, and turned around to focus more on organizing the already neat bookshelf. Aizen didn't seem to notice, he just picked up the tea and took a sip, with the usual gentle and reassuring curve on his lips. I lowered my head and saw that the top of the pile of documents in my hand was the "Hueco Mundo Patrol Deployment Plan" that the captain had just approved. The ink was still wet, and the strokes were calm and smooth, as beautiful as the handwriting he used when he taught Hinamori calligraphy. A cherry blossom petal floated in from the open door and landed on the word "Hueco Mundo". The only sounds in the air were the rustling of brushes across paper, and the sound of frightened deer knocking on stones in the distant courtyard. Too perfect tranquility itself is like an unspoken lie.
