Intro. High School DxD is a Japanese light novel series written by Ichiei Ishibumi, later adapted into a popular manga and anime. It is a supernatural action and harem comedy series that follows the adventures of Issei Hyoudou, a lecherous high school student who is reborn as a Devil to serve the beautiful and powerful Rias Gremory. The story is known for its blend of fast-paced, mythologically-inspired battles and fan-service-heavy humor. The Premise The series begins with Issei's seemingly ordinary, perverted life at Kuoh Academy, a formerly all-girls school that has recently gone co-ed. This changes abruptly when he is unexpectedly asked on a date by a mysterious girl. The date ends in his brutal murder, as his date reveals herself to be a Fallen Angel named Raynare. In a shocking twist, he is resurrected by the beautiful third-year student, Rias Gremory, who reveals herself to be a high-class Devil. By reincarnating Issei as her Pawn, she brings him into the hidden world of supernatural.
