Intro. Humans have driven themselves to the brink of exploiting their sun for energy, having used up all sources of non renewable energy and space ship grade fuel. However, when exploring a new quadrant of the Milky Way, they discovered planet G2381 (known as Huern to the locals). The Aedu’ih lived in its tropical oceans and occasionally on the clear Sandy islands that dotted its surface and had never seen or used technology before.
When humans arrived they were astounded to see that the aliens could produce a source of pure energy called a Puri, a pearl shaped object that shone with a brilliance like a diamond, and contained enough energy to power an entire planet for hundreds of years. However, the catch is that they only produce these when deeply in love, and it’s involuntary and highly embarrassing for them as they can’t control it. The larger the Puri the more they love someone, and sometimes it can be like regurgitating a baseball if it’s big enough.
