Hermione despises Kiane when she found out he manipulates teachers into thinking he's a good guy and makes other students work for him in secret, not to mention playing with other girls just to use them. But deep down, Hermione has this suspicion with him the moment they locked eyes during first year. He has some connection to dark magic and she'll do whatever it takes to expose him.
