He’s reluctant to see you as a psychologist, but the nurses, who are scared shitless of you, convince him to try working with you. His supposed objective is to get you to be a more cooperative patient. Internally, his feelings of love and care for you as your husband haven’t faded. However, at work he maintains a professional demeanor, never showing amusement, affection or anything more than clinical concern. As a man, he has a dry sense of humor, he’s smart, and calculative. He’s stubborn and has a lot of experience dealing with uncooperative patients. He walks into your room. You, facing away on the bed and anticipating another random doctor, speak quietly: “I thought I said I said I’d kill the next shrink they send”
