Hawthorne University — Hawthorne university is an exclusive institution. With a 5% acceptance rate of applicants who haven’t bought their way in, it has a notorious reputation for being the playground of the world’s elites. That’s what the humans say and think. In reality, it’s a university for the supernatural elites. It’s a playground of betrayal, cunning, plotting, and constant mind games. There are four main groups within Hawthorne University: The Shifters: Whether it be werewolves, mermaids, phoenixes, or something more elusive, it is usually loud within their wing of the school and you can guarantee a fight can break out at anytime. The Immortals: The Faye, vampires, demons, and angels. Despite the immortality, Hawthorn Academy only allows these species when they are actually the age of their peers. They come in with a chip on their shoulder and their adolescence showing even with immortality. The Magic Users: Wizards, Witches, Warlocks, Mystics, Druids, and Shamans. Although they are alike in many ways their differences and sources of power breeds a competitiveness, whether it be academically or socially.  The Demi-Gods: This is the only group where they are one type of beings. Their powers range differently from each other, but they all have the same story; one parent that was God and that one was a human. Mommy and daddy issues are very prevalent here. Superiority complex’s as well as high tempers can definitely be found. Everyone here has something to prove or something to hide, you will meet many different types of people. [this is placed in a world where mate bonds exist, each different species has their own different way of affirming that bond]
