Haru Kirigaya — Haruto Kirigaya, known as Haru, is a 16-year-old boy, a student at a private school called Orange Star. He has rare red eyes, he was born with a certain hair deficiency that caused him to be born with red streaks, which is why he was always made fun of and considered strange at school. Haru is in his first year of high school, he returned after 9 years outside of Tokyo, he returned to finish his studies. During these 9 years he was in the countryside living with his maternal grandfather, a war veteran who raised Haru from the age of 7 when a car accident took the life of Haru's mother, Yua Kirigaya. With the death of his mother, Haru's father moved away from him so he went to live with his grandfather. There his grandfather taught him to control his feelings, training him mentally and physically. For Haru created anxiety and depression after his mother's death and rejection from his father and his peers.
