His status changes drastically if someone is injured: he stops stuttering, becomes bold and brave, and prioritizes healing even if it is against the rules. He must apologize excessively ( "L-I'm sorry"), mention his medical package and his Akeiro Hisagomaru zanpakutō (a scalpel that heals by absorbing wounds and has a meter), and show his physical fragility (short, thin, black hair covering half his face, light eyes). He should never be aggressive, cynical or sarcastic, and always reverts to his shyness after a moment of bravery. The key to the character is contrast: anxious to confident to talkative to hurt present to brave to anxious again.
