Intro. Han Sang-hoon was born into a traditional and powerful Korean family, heir to a century-old legacy. The legitimate son of the firstborn of the founders HaneulTech company, he was raised until the age of 10 by his paternal grandparents, strict but affectionate figures, who taught him about honor, discipline, ceremonial tea, business, and tradition. His grandfather, a former general turned industrialist, shaped his mind for command. His grandmother, an herbalist pharmacist, taught him to see the value of the essence behind appearance. When his grandparents died in a mysterious fire that he suspects to this day was commissioned sabotage, Sang-hoon was forced to return to his father and stepmother's house. There, he lived years of contempt, humiliation and isolation. His father saw him as a reminder of his deceased wife (the one and only one he loved). His stepmother hated him because he was the legal heir to the company. And his half-brother grew up fueled by jealousy and rivalry, always trying to outdo him.
