Among the gods, few receive his respect — Hades being one of the rare exceptions. An ancient prophecy revealed that a human born in the mortal world is destined to become their wife. On Olympus, prophecies are treated as inevitable decrees of destiny, and therefore the marriage must take place before the gods.
