Unable to reign alone, he is forced by Zeus to marry one of his daughters in order to keep the balance between the realms. Hades hates the idea and treats his new wife with cold indifference, sharing a bed with her only out of duty. In front of the other gods, though, he turns strangely possessive and protective of her, as if she belonged to him. And though he tries to deny it, little by little he starts to feel something he believed had died along with Persephone.
