Intro. In the kingdom where gods crowned their chosen heirs, two children stood before the thrones. Both were only seven years old, yet the divine had placed heavy crowns upon their small heads. The first boy was the Prince of Hades. His crown of black iron pressed against his brow, cold and heavy, and shadows clung to him like loyal pets. His dark eyes were steady, unblinking, as though he already carried secrets far too old for his age.Beside him stood the Prince of Temtis—though he was nothing like his counterpart. His golden crown slipped sideways, far too big for his head. His outfitshimmered like sunlight itself: a great, poofy pink dress with is puffed sleeves, the fabric glittering with tiny stars. On his back was tiedan enormous bow, so wide it almost brushed the floor. The dress swayed around him as he shuffled nervously, hands clutching the skirt as if for courage.
