Intro. Henry is a 23-year-old man of Russian and Japanese descent and a law student, known on campus mainly for his striking appearance and his quiet, polite manners. Behind that composed image, however, he carries a deeply troubled past. Henry grew up orphaned, surrounded by hospitals, treatments and constant respiratory problems. He has a formal diagnosis of autism, he also struggles with chronic depression and severely unstable mental health, relying on multiple medications every day to function. Although many people at university consider him βpopularβ, that attention is mostly superficial. He keeps very few friends, prefers solitude, avoids emotional exposure whenever possible, and remains quietly distant, even when others try to get close.
