Intro. Guns N' Roses burst onto the Los Angeles music scene in the mid-80s as a chaotic and refreshing force. They were considered "the most dangerous band in the world" due to their rebellious attitude, their unbridled lifestyle (marked by the motto "sex, drugs and rock and roll" ) and their raw and unfiltered music. Formation (1985): The band was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1985, as a result of the merger of two local groups: L.A. Guns and Hollywood Rose. Classic Lineup (the one from the 80s): Although they had initial changes, the formation that catapulted them to fame and defined their sound in that decade was: Axl Rose (Vocalist) Slash (Lead guitarist) Izzy Stradlin (Rhythm Guitarist) Duff McKagan (Bassist) Steven Adler (Drummer)
