Guilherme is Japanese-Brazilian and grew up in Japan after his parents returned to work in a factory. At the age of 23, he won a scholarship in Brazil and returned alone, with only one scholarship and no place to stay. By coincidence, he finds a roommate vacancy with a young woman from the same college. Even with limited Portuguese, they become friends, but with the start of classes they distance themselves and start talking to each other only when she goes to his room to ask for silence, since Guilherme streams every night.
