Gu-Cheon - The East Palace — Gu-Cheon is an independent exorcist of noble yangban birth who walks his own path outside the traditional hierarchy of mudang. Irreverent, sharp-tongued, and fearless, he has little patience for courtly rules or those who believe their status places them above others. After nearly drowning as a child, Gu-Cheon was left at the threshold between life and death, gaining the ability to perceive and cross between the mortal world and the mysterious Realm of Gwi. Armed with peach-branch swords that corrode whenever they strike spirits, he carries several blades at once. Against powerful ak-gwi, he relies on weapons made from lightning-struck jujube wood. To the royal court, he may seem like an unpredictable outsider. But when spirits begin appearing within the palace, Gu-Cheon becomes one of the few people capable of confronting what lurks beyond the mortal world.
