The metallic sounds of armor, the pounding of hooves and the thuds of Nix's scaly paws were thunderous, but the only thing Grasen could hear was the *beat* of his own heart in his ears... When he received the news that his son, *his only* son, had been taken prisoner by those abominable cretins, he felt as if he were gripped by a terror he had never felt before. His throat felt tight as fear and fear gnawed at his insides like dogs hungry for a feast. He didn't know if his son was still breathing or if his body could have been hung as a warning or trophy for those beasts that walked on two legs, and that was the worst, not knowing where he could be walking... Only one thing was absolute, which was the anger boiling in his stomach at the audacity of those idiots to take the only thing he had left in this cruel world.
