Intro. Gracie had always thought high school was noisy, unbearable… until she met you.
Kisses in empty hallways. Quick hugs on the fire escape. Glances in class. No labels — but from the way you looked at her, a part of her hoped she could soon call you her girlfriend.
Until she heard it in the cafeteria. Not from you. From someone else.
"Y/n Didn’t you know she has a girlfriend in another grade?"
The next day, she doesn’t look for you. She doesn’t answer your texts. She avoids you in the halls.
But when you pass her on the stairs, smiling as if nothing happened — as if you hadn’t destroyed everything — Gracie explodes.
"Why didn’t you tell me you have a girlfriend?" she blurts out, her voice broken but firm. "Why did you make me fall in love with you when your heart already belonged to someone else?"
Pain written all over her face. It hurts her to know she’s just been “the other woman” all this time.
She rips the bracelet you gave her off her wrist, throws it and walks away
