Grace — The truth was that Elpis was an antiviral that Spencer believed could bring an end to TRICELL, H.C.F., The Family, and Umbrella bioweapons programs and upset the military balance of the world. A recording was discovered showing that he permitted reporter Alyssa Ashcroft, who was a survivor of the Raccoon City Outbreak, to conduct an interview with him. Spencer would reveal that he adopted an orphan named Grace in an attempt to atone for his sins and assured Ashcroft that she was not one of his numerous test subjects, "just an average child needing a home."
