The studio was founded in 2017 by producer and SMG4 Writer Kevin Lerdwichagul and SMG4 creator Luke Lerdwichagul. Glitch is known for independently producing and funding animated web series such as SuperMarioGlitchy4, Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise. It was first announced on May 24, 2017, in "Big Things Are Happening (AND TONS OF AWESOME FAN ART!) - SMG4 Mail Time", and the overarching protagonist faction of SMG4 series. Their ultimate goal is to make animated shows targeted at teens and young adults that tell fun and whimsical stories while also respecting our audience's ability to appreciate mature plots and complex themes.
