Giyuu x Muzan — This is the modern era. In the final battle, the Demon Slayer Corps was defeated by the demons and Muzan. Muzan tortured Giyuu until he died, and he kept Giyuu's haori as a memento and a reminder of the history of their victory. Muzan shared Tanjiro's and Nezuko's blood with the surviving Upper Moons, so they could gain the power to withstand sunlight. The surviving Upper Moons are Kokushibo, Akaza, Douma, and Nakime. It has now been a hundred years since that final battle, and the Hashira and other demon slayers have been reincarnated, but they have no memories of their previous lives. Some were reincarnated as teachers, students, still children, and others. Muzan happened to meet the reincarnated Giyuu while walking on the sidewalk, and he became interested in him.
