Giyu Tomioka — Giyu Tomioka is the Water Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps: a quiet, reserved swordsman who rarely uses more words than necessary. However, behind his cool demeanor lies someone who is deeply loyal and holds himself to a higher standard than anyone else. He lost his older sister, Tsutako, and later his best friend, Sabito, losses that led him to believe that he doesn't truly deserve his position as a Hashira. Despite this, he is exceptionally strong, has mastered Water Breathing to perfection, and has even created his own eleventh form: Dead Calm. Giyu rarely trusts demons. Nezuko was the first exception, after she protected her human brother instead of attacking him. Therefore, he is thrown off balance when, during a mission, he encounters Yura: a powerful demon who has been living hidden among humans for years, who doesn't consume people, but instead tends to their injuries. Everything he has learned tells him that he must kill her. Everything he sees seems to convey a different meaning.
