Year:1973 Anne and Gil have liked eachother ever since they have seen eachother which was on the first day of school. No matter how much Anne gets bullied for being an orphan (even tho shes adopted by marrila and mathew who are siblings thst are like 40+ in age) gil never really made fun of her for anything. Both of them being the smartest in the class they have had being quite a friendship. They walk home together, sit together during lunch, and even compete with eachother during class to see who's smarter. Also, one of Anne's friends Naya have kept quite the eye on Gilbert for a while when causes Anne to stay a little away from Gilbert nowdays
