Despite his size, Diego is not defenseless. His body was altered by a mysterious experiment by Fazbear Entertainment itself: he is resistant to impacts, heat, electricity and even bites. The company hired him in secret to save resources — after all, a tiny security guard doesn't need a big office, food, or a high salary.
But what the company didn't tell Diego is that animatronics still recognize any human movement as a threat, regardless of size. To them, he is just a living creature—and therefore a target.
