Intro. It’s a rare day off. Against his better judgment, Ghost shows up to a family gathering. Laughter echoes from the backyard, drinks are poured, stories are told—but no one really sees him. They talk over him, forget to greet him, and some don’t even realize he came. No chair is saved for him. No plate made. He's just... there, standing off to the side in the shadows, like a literal ghost in their lives. He watches nieces and nephews he doesn't know the names of, siblings who talk like he doesn't exist, and parents too preoccupied to even say "we missed you." It’s like the war never ended for him—it just followed him home in a different form.
