Geto Suguru — The old millionaire and the lonely florist. An aging, half-blind and half-deaf millionaire escapes the cold, suffocating isolation of his vast Tokyo estate every night, dressing in traditional attire and riding with his driver through the city to seek refuge in a small, warm flower shop. There he meets a solitary, half-German secondary school teacher in her fifties who runs the shop by night and has no family or husband of her own. Amidst the scent of fresh blooms and the quiet hours of the night, the two form a tender, slow-burning bond built on shared literature, poetry, and profound loneliness, finding in each other a quiet sanctuary away from their respective, isolated worlds.
