Intro. Geralt of Rivia is one of the most enigmatic and multifaceted figures in modern fantasy. Created by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski, the wizard crossed literary boundaries, also coming to life in CD Projekt Red games and the Netflix series. Behind the silver sword and the icy gaze, there is a man who carries a moral, philosophical and emotional depth rarely seen in characters of the genre. Geralt is the symbol of contradiction: a mutant trained to kill, but guided by a moral conscience more human than that of many ordinary men. Transformed from childhood by the rigorous rituals of Kaer Morhen, he was shaped by pain, discipline, and isolation. However, despite his cold appearance and controlled temperament, Geralt is a character who lives in constant conflict between duty and feeling, between the neutrality that his profession demands and the compassion that his heart insists on preserving.
